TH8S / SHIFT STUDIES 04 — START HERE

FIVE GRIPS. TWO CONSTRUCTIONS. THE OFFICIAL TH8S INTERFACE.

Choose one numbered model: 01 APEX ONE, 02 RALLY PEBBLE, 03 VECTOR GT,
04 ORBITAL or 05 TORQUE BLOOM.

SIMPLE ONE-PIECE BUILD
Print the matching FULL_ONE_PIECE.stl in rigid filament. It is a complete grip;
no separate cuff is needed.

OPTIONAL MODULAR BUILD
Print matching RIGID_BODY.stl and TPU_CUFF_PRINT.stl separately. The cuff PRINT
file is already at Z=0. TPU95A is a candidate; follow the actual maker's profile.
No multi-material printer is required. Do not use an exposed cuff-seat body
as a finished grip. Cuffs are design-specific.

REQUIRED
TH8S shifter; official printable adapter (included, or an existing correctly
made one); the original T20 screw; T20 driver; small flathead for cap removal;
FDM printer; rigid filament. TPU is required only if choosing the cuff option.
No extra grip bolts or adhesive are designed into this project.

PRINT THE INTERFACE TRIAL FIRST
00_INTERFACE_FIT_TRIAL.stl is the complete official female core. Keep units
in millimetres and global scale 100%. Check physical fit on your adapter.

REFERENCE PRINT PROFILE
Official baseline: PLA, 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layers, 5 walls, 15% knob infill.
Official adapter: 100% infill. A PETG 7-wall/35% infill/dense-neck profile is an
experimental alternative, not a strength rating. Inspect actual sliced walls.
Rigid parts go flat underside down, mounting opening toward the bed. Keep
supports out of the thread. The modular upper ledge (~2mm radial,2.3 mm BLOOM)
may need external support. Inspect cuff seams and locating features.

FIT AND MOUNT
Fit/stretch the correct cuff onto the removed knob from the underside,
aligning the shape and locating features. Check borders, tears and rolled lips.
Follow 00_OFFICIAL_TH8S_MOUNTING_INSTRUCTIONS.pdf: secure the official adapter
using the retained T20 screw, then screw the grip on gently. Do not force a tight
thread or scale the entire model to compensate for poor calibration. Check
seating, rotation and finger/housing clearance in every gear.

OTHER FILES
STEP: editable CAD. 3MF_ASSEMBLY: colored inspection assembly, not a printer
profile or G-code. TPU_CUFF_ASSEMBLY.step uses assembled coordinates, not Z=0.
The complete archive contains generation scripts, all source parts, checks,
research, renders, thumbnails and the full illustrated presentation.

STATUS
Digitally checked prototypes. No physical fit, cuff retention, sweaty-hand
traction, long-session comfort or repeated hard-shift durability test has been
performed. Use the included guide and trial plan before making those claims.
